Nutrition Services
Welcome to St. Pius X School Nutrition Services! Our goal is to make available delicious and nutritionally balanced meals to all students therefore promoting and enhancing student learning. Our nutrition program is a part of the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and is regulated and supported by federal and state guidelines. These guidelines assist in allowing nutrition programs to offer nutritionally dense foods at reasonable prices. Throughout this webpage, you will find informational resources to help guide your family through our program.
We are very excited to be a part of the Team Nutrition network of schools! This partnership expands St. Pius X School’s health and wellness goals as well as providing our lunch program with additional fun resources to engage students and help them learn about nutrition and lifelong healthy habits.

Free / Reduced Lunch Information
Families who feel they may qualify for free or reduced-price lunches may submit their applications to the Food Service Director at any time throughout the school year. Applications and information will be sent twice annually to families to help us best serve family’s individual needs. Any family with an active application on file will not need to resubmit their information. Families who qualified via application for free/reduced last year will have 30 days into the new school year to submit a new application. Please call or email with any questions.
Negative Balance Information
We are very appreciative of families staying ahead of their lunch account balances. If extenuating circumstances exist that might make paying the lunch account balance challenging, please feel free to contact us. We ask that negative balances do not become habitual. Thank you for helping us keep negative balances manageable.
Food Allergies
We pride ourselves on working one-on-one with families with special dietary needs. Alternative menus and substitutions are made available for problematic foods. Please note, food allergies must be documented using the below form and on file with both the school nurse and with the food service director.

Summer Meals
Here at St. Pius X School, we do not offer a summer feeding program, but there are many in our area. Finding access to summer meals for your student is easy. Children who are 18 years or younger are invited to participate. You can find summer meal sites by texting the word “FOOD” or "COMIDA" to 304-304, calling 1-866-3-HUNGRY, or by visiting www.fns.usda.gov/meals4kids.
