In the fall of 2022, St. Pius X became a pilot school for the regional "Leadership Council" program. The newly formed School Advisory Council combines the best elements of the previous School Board and Home & School Organizations into one parent volunteer base. The Council supports the work of the school and parish with committees focused on Academics, Faith, Fundraising, and Community Involvement.

The School Advisory Council engaged in strategic visioning. The process included teachers, staff, parents, and parishioners. Ultimately, the following Core Values and Uniques were established:

  • Faith in Action

The School Advisory Council (SAC) falls under the Pastoral Council of Saint Pius X.  The SAC seeks to advise the Pastor on how to involve the families who chose the Catholic School within the life of the greater parish community. Participating in the SAC committees and activities is the best way to get involved and meet members of the community.

Any individual wishing to address the School Advisory Council during the Open Forum portion of the meeting must contact the Chair^ and Principal at least 10 days prior to the scheduled meeting. The request must include the exact nature of the issue/concern to be addressed and any supporting materials to be presented. Please note that those requesting Open Forum must first work to directly address concerns or complaints with the proper person involved with the situation (school teacher, administrator, pastor, etc.) This must be done prior to addressing the School Council. In Open forum, an individual presentation is limited to five (5) minutes.
