The Community Outreach Committee at St. Pius X Catholic Church reaches out to local people who need food, clothing and a place to live. This is done in a quiet, personal and a private way, without discussing in depth the identity of those being served. Examples of our work include utility assistance, rent and housing assistance, clothing assistance, diapers for infant care and assistance for stranded travelers. Initial contact is made through the parish office and forwarded to a committee member.

The committee meets on the first Friday following 8 am Mass in the Martha and Mary Fellowship Hall.

We also participate in the Salvation Army Canteen casserole program every other month. Please pick up a pan(s) to prepare and freeze breakfast casseroles that later will be used to feed homeless clients. Just one dozen eggs makes three casseroles or 30 meals! Thank You!

The Salvation Army is so appreciative of the support St. Pius Parish provides to their canteen breakfast program.  During our six collections in 2025, we donated 1,039 casseroles and 1,040 boxes of cereal! These donations provided many meals for our hungry neighbors.  We have great volunteers who help rescue food used for the meals, work serving on the canteen or doing quantity casserole baking at the Salvation Army kitchen. Thank you to all of the parishioners for their help and donations in 2025.

Please make sure freezer door is closed.
