Cantors and accompanists are needed when our larger choirs are unavailable or during weddings and funerals .  We typically have 2 masses a week that require a cantor and accompanist. 

Cantors are singers that lead the congregation in hymns and songs.  They also proclaim certain parts of the masses such as the psalm and gospel acclamation. 

Accompanists are pianists, organists, or guitarists that support the singers and congregation with accompanying music. They provide introductions to songs and mass settings in addition to sometimes providing solo instrumental music if necessary.
