Walking Together with God on the Pilgrimage of Life

LOVE GOD. LOVE OTHERS. MAKE DISCIPLES. RESTORE ALL THINGS IN CHRIST.

ALL SET FOR SUNDAY

Our readings, which can be found at the USCCB website (www.usccb.org) speak to us about God’s plan for the human race.  While speaking about the gift and Sacrament of Marriage, God is also reminding us that we need others in order to understand His plan.  We are joined together by God.  It is not good for us to be alone.  We need communion—with each other and with God.  Pray this week for the grace to live as God has called you.

NEWS IN THE PEWS

Folks, it is time for Father Daniel to experience the great role of Pastor.  He will spend the next three weeks standing in my place while I join a pilgrimage group to Lourdes in France and Fatima in Portugal.  After the group returns to the United States, I am going to remain in Portugal walking the Camino de Santiago by the way of the Portuguese Way from Porto to Santiago de Compostela.  I will return hopefully for All Saints’ Day on November 1.  If you need anything, please do not be afraid to ask Father Daniel.  He is excited about being pastor for the rest of the month.

I will be setting up a special blog for the pilgrimage and the Camino.  While I would love to post on our website, that’s not as easy to do from the phone.  Instead, I will set up a wordpress.com blog.  Please note—if you read the blog, you will see ads that I cannot control.  Please know that I do not suggest clicking on any of them; they do not reflect my perspective or endorsement, nor do I know what you will see.  I will post the link on Sunday after I set up the new page.

Let’s pray for each other during these October days.
